I am a wife, mother of two teenagers, several furry faces and many fuzzy, feathered butts. I am a former educator and artist with a passion for ceramics. My days are filled with loving my family, spending time in the pottery studio and hiking the the beautiful trails in Guilford County, North Carolina. I began working with clay in New Jersey back in 2001 but family life and obligations at home occupied my time until a dear friend inspired me to return to crafting in 2009. In 2015, my skilled (and very handsome) husband transformed our tiny shed into a backyard studio where all our pets came to visit as I worked and "16 Muddy Paws Pottery" was born!  I am drawn to creating beautiful things that serve a purpose. I am inspired by all things living, our natural surroundings, and the human spirit. My functional ceramic work reflects organic shapes, forms, and patterns found in nature.
